About

I’m driven by a deep commitment to empower, protect, and enhance the lives of pēpi, tamariki, and whānau. With many years of experience working directly with whānau—both as a statutory social worker and within the community—I’ve seen firsthand the challenges and strengths that shape our people.

Now, my focus is on supporting frontline kaimahi through clinical supervision and professional development. By strengthening the practice of those working at the coalface, we can create lasting, positive change and better outcomes for the whānau they serve.

I believe that all children are worthy of living lives free from violence, abuse, and neglect. I believe in the inherent and integral worth of every human being. In my practice, I value honour and integrity, the courage to advocate for what is right, and a steadfast commitment to client empowerment. My mana is not diminished by sharing my knowledge—on the contrary, it grows when others grow.

I look forward to working with you.

I chose the name Oak Tree Solutions because I believe in the power of growth, strength, and community. Just like an oak tree begins as a small, humble acorn, every journey—whether personal or professional—starts with potential. With the right support, that potential can grow into something strong, steady, and deeply rooted.

Oak trees are known for their resilience and the way they support life around them—offering shelter, stability, and space to thrive. In Celtic tradition, the oak is a symbol of wisdom, and that deeply resonates with my approach to practice: grounded, thoughtful, and enduring.

In the world of social services, there’s often a heavy focus on problems. I wanted to flip that narrative. Solutions speaks to the strength, insight, and leadership that already exist within clients and kaimahi. This isn’t about being a consultant or advisor—it’s about walking alongside people as they discover and lead their own solutions.
